Tre nye fra Amager Bryghus til Double Black Mash Day

Forventet udsalgspris bliver 250,- pr. stk.

Etikettekst: Back in 2010 Mikkeller and Amager Bryghus teamed up with the yeast whisperers at White Labs to make a beer with only one purpose - to get as strong as possible without sacrificing taste. Mikkeller kindly supplied the barrels, White Labs the yeast and it all took place at Amager Bryghus. It is not the strongest beer in the World but it might be the best tasting 18% beer you will find. The beer was made with three different yeast strains added at different times as the fermentation conditions changed and the alcohol sky-rocketed. Constant agitation of the tank and pulse-feeding of sugars and oxygen, kept the yeasts cells strong enough to endure the extreme conditions throughout the fermentation... well, until they finally caved in. The alcohol heavy beer was barrel aged for 6 years in Cognac and Tequila barrels before finally deemed ready for blending and bottling. And now, yet two years later this gentle beast is ready to face the world – eight years after the beer was started. Big. Bold and Beautiful. Enjoy!
Etikettekst: Seriously, you never believed that ole crap story about IPA being a beer invented for British Colonial troops in India, did you? Good, because this is what really happened: Anne Bonny’s husband Jack Rackham was not only a notorious pirate, he was also a notorious drunk. During the 1719 Spanish naval blockade of The Republic of Pirates – in modern times known as The Bahamas – the lack of rhum soon became a problem as Jack’s personality grew even more mean spirited than usual. As much as Anne preferred a sword in her hand to a kitchen utensil, she knew she had to come up with something. Days spent in secrecy in the pirate couple’s kitchen led to the birth of a malt drink three weeks later. In the beginning Jack utterly refused to put his lips to this foul fluid that neither smelled of nor resembled rhum at all. But when Anne added a solid dose of gun powder to the beer, it did mobilize a hint of interest. What exactly Jack commented on Anne’s beer has vanished in the mists of history.
Etikettekst: For centuries scientists have discussed the odd but in many ways relevant question: do the farts of unicorns smell? And if so, what do they smell of? Many scholars have claimed that the unicorn, being only a fable and not a real animal, naturally could not produce any bodily gasses at all, since it didn’t exist. Others claimed that unicorn sightings were so abundant that naturally the animal existed, and although a symbol of purity and grace it would still have to release the odd fart every now and then. The whole crew here at Amager Bryghus are a bunch of old time romantics and true believers. Brewery dog Kilo even insists that he once made out with a unicorn in nearby Kongelunden Forest. He’s such a lover boy. Well, we’re not gonna tell you exactly how we did it, but with the dry-hopping in Pink Farts & Unicorns we have recreated that exact aroma of a unicorn fart. Think delicious tropicana, think moist citrus, think….the smell of your most luscious dreams. And if you close your eyes too, you can even see the color. It’s true, it’s pink. This beer is for all ladies and dudes who choose to believe that fairytales actually exist. Just sniff…..
